KEY TECHNOLOGIES
Carbon - the best material for a bicycle
There is no better material for a bicycle than carbon fibre. A carbon fibre bike is lighter, stronger, absorbs vibrations caused by uneven pavement, does not corrode and is easy to repair. The Gelaro series of bikes use UTS Carbon T800 carbon fibre from the Japanese company Toray, which is one of the best carbon fibres in the world. The tensile modulus is 42 Msi and the fibre has a high tensile strength of 5880 MPa and high level and balanced composite properties. The tensile modulus is 294 GPa.
Ultralight and reliable motor
The ultralight 2kg centre 36V, 250W and 60Nm motor is the ideal choice for an electric gravel bike thanks to its natural and smooth pedal assist. Thanks to its location in the centre of the frame, it provides excellent balance and a low centre of gravity, which greatly improves the handling of the bike on and off road. The overall weight of the bike remains low (less than 15 kg), which will be appreciated by athletes and those who frequently carry the bike. The 60 Nm of power provides enough power for climbing and riding against the wind without overloading the battery. The use of the bike's gears makes the motor more efficient and easily adapts to different riding conditions. Lower power consumption provides a longer range, typically 70-100 km with a 360 Wh battery. Compared to hub motors, the ride is more natural and responsive to pedalling power. The motor is quiet, discreet and compliant with EU regulations. Compatibility with conventional gears and better riding dynamics are also advantages. Overall, it is an ideal combination for high-performance and recreational gravel riding.
Bag handles
Pack even more gear for your biggest adventure. Our fork holders are the easiest way to store bulky and lightweight items (clothes, sleeping bag), and on hot days you can screw on extra bottle baskets. When riding, everything is clean and there is no inconvenience in handling. With mounts on the fork and top tube of the frame, the gravel bike becomes a truly versatile bike that can be used for a variety of activities. There may not be many attachment holes for a gravel bike, but their presence greatly increases the versatility and practicality of the bike. They make it easy to adapt the bike to different needs and use it for a wide range of activities.
Modern integrated display
The DM-08C display for electric bikes is a modern, integrated solution that provides a clear, 1.4-inch colour IPS panel located directly on the top tube of the frame. It displays speed, distance, battery status and selected riding mode, communicating via UART or CAN. With its compact dimensions, low power consumption and robust design compliant with EN 15194, it is the ideal choice for anyone looking for an elegant and reliable CE-certified display for electric bikes.
Protective QR code
Every Sava bicycle has an original QR code which, when registered on our website, ensures that if you buy a second-hand bicycle you can easily identify the previous owner and thus trace the origin of the bicycle. Sava bicycles are therefore not worthy of theft by thieves and are then virtually unsaleable. When buying a used Sava bike, always check the identity of the seller and whether he or she was indeed the legal owner in our system.
